Mtpgamer 10 years ago#1 i just got a “tip” from a friend saying you should always sleep underground because some monster might see you in your house and blow up, taking your house and any stuff stored in chests with it? so is it advisable to always sleep in a cave and just use the houses for show? sorry for the noob sounding question…..just seemed oddGT-GhostTLT
Splinterscat 10 years ago#2Yes, you can live in your house, but just make sure you place plenty of torches inside and outside all around your house. If you dont have enough light, then a creeper could spawn near or inside your house.Theres Me, Myself and I; if they dont say, I might.Im running down the highway, looking for the enemy… Dang, I was killed.

They are annoying, yes, especially because they dont burn in sunlight like the other mobs (spiders dont either, but they are non-hostile during the day). As long as you keep plenty of torches around your house, you have nothing to worry about. And creepers only explode when they get near you. So dont go running towards your house when youre being chased, haha.Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?
Splinterscat 10 years ago#5Besides what Chuck mentioned, there are also skeletons who shoot arrows at you, and there are zombies (who are pretty easy to kill). A tip: When trying to kill a creeper– hit it quickly with your sword once, then back away until he stops making a hissing noise (its a warning sound the creeper makes right before hes going to explode.). Then, if he didnt explode, hit him again, back away, and then again… until you kill him. If you manage to kill him without him exploding, then theres a chance that hell drop, I think, gunpowder… which is an ingredient that you use in making TNT.Theres Me, Myself and I; if they dont say, I might.Im running down the highway, looking for the enemy… Dang, I was killed.
Chuck_Bosworth 10 years ago#6Another tip, even if you cant hear the creeper hissing (for whatever reason), they also blink as theyre going to explode.Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?
Akaimizu 10 years ago#7Actually, its pretty easy to creeper-proof important locations. Basically, what you want to do is build a simple ground moat (dont fill it) that is 2 blocks deep around anything you dont a creeper to blow up. Make sure you put that ground moat about 5 blocks out or so. On the inside of that empty moat, place torches so they can only spawn outside of it. Like a Basketball Movie title, Creepers cant jump. The 2 block deep moat will keep them from crossing past the moat. Use bow and arrow to deal with those creepers and theyll never explode. Grab your free flint. Profit. Take note that Creepers ONLY explode within the close proximity of an actual player. They dont just blow up haphazardly. So if you find yourself face to face with a creeper, try not to run them towards a structure you want to keep. In fact, lead them away from your stuff the best you can. That should be your default direction to run. Zombies, spiders, skeletons…..those guys you can use your built-up structures to block or gain the advantage. Creepers are either fought from a distance or away from your stuff. Take note, Creepers can also be used as an improvised tool if youre ready for them. They can quickly mine things for you if you lead them to the right spot. LordBowser 10 years ago#10If a skeleton attacks a creeper, theres a good chance it will turn around and blow up the skeleton, so beware. If a skeleton is shooting arrows, and gets the killing blow on a creeper, it will drop a music disc (I am not sure if this applies to this version).I am Lord Bowser, King of the Koopas! Bwahaha.. Playing Bowser on Mario Kart, and Noxus on Metroid Prime. I am not a cookie cutter!
