Blaze Rods are essential for completing Minecraft. This guide will show players where they can find it and explain what they are used for.
Blaze Rods are valuable crafting materials important to the endgame in Minecraft. While Minecraft offers players limitless possibilities when it comes to creating their own reality, the open-world title does offer a few puzzles and hidden mechanics players might miss if they focus more on building mechanics. Minecraft is full of hidden bosses that require a bit of preparation and problem solving to locate. One of these bosses is the legendary Ender Dragon, and the only way to encounter it is by collecting a sufficient number of Blaze Rods.
Blaze Rods are used to create Blaze Powder. Once a player combines a Blaze Powder with an Ender Pearl, they will create the Eyes of Ender. Players will need to create 12 of them to unlock the hidden passageway into the End, the location where players can face off against the Ender Dragon. Endermen can drop an Ender Pearl after they are defeated. However, to collect Blaze Rods, players must prepare for a dangerous quest to the Nether. This guide will show players how they can find Blaze Rods in Minecraft.
Players will first need to access Minecrafts Nether. To do this. They will need to create a portal with Obsidian and Flint and Steel. The Nether is one of the most dangerous locations in the game and features mobs that can do some serious damage, so they will want to be prepared for a fight. Players can also find Ancient Debris, Netherite, and more in this realm. Once inside, the hunt for the Blaze Rods begins.

Defeat Blazes to Get Blaze Rods in Minecraft
Once through the portal, Minecraft will spawn players in a random location in the Nether. It’s important to remember where the portal back home is located to prevent getting lost.
Blaze Rods are dropped by slain Blazes. Blazes primarily spawn in Nether Fortresses, so players should look around the Nether until one appears. These are typically located fairly close to the portal, so players should not have to go far to find one.
Blazes can be dangerous to deal with since they shoot fire. Players can use a Bow and Arrow or a fire-proof potion to deal with them. To ensure the trip was worthwhile, players should try to grab at least 20 Blaze Rods before returning to the surface world. It may also be a good idea to pick up some Netherite to craft Netherite Tools once back home.
Once they leave the Nether, players can break down Blaze Rods into Blaze Powder. They can then combine the Blaze Powder with Ender Pearls to craft their Eyes of Ender and continue their journey toward battling the Ender Dragon.
Minecraft is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile.

Blazes are mobs with a yellow skin and black eyes found in The Nether. They primarily spawn from Mob Spawners found mostly inside Nether Fortresses. Their bodies are made up of a head atop a central column of smoke, and three rotating sections. Each rotating section contains 4 floating yellow rods. Blazes can fly and shoot Fireballs. They make a metallic breathing sound when nearby. Blazes will not leave Nether Fortress unless the player forces them to.
Blazes are able to fly, but they will stay on the ground or sink down slowly in the air when not attacking. Blazes will attempt to swim upwards in lava much like regular mobs behave in water. When they see a player, they will start flying and shooting. Blazes can also be hurt by Snowballs and Water. Like all Nether mobs, they will not die in Lava. Blazes do not catch on fire when either attacked in Creative Mode or when they have spotted the player. They also do not make fireball sounds, making them hard to find where theyre coming from. They also drop Glowstone dust as well as their Blaze Rods.
