Question How do I see what my coordinates are without mods in Minecraft PE? Community Answer As of Minecraft PE 16.0, commands are available. You can find current coordinates with the teleport command (/tp). Type “/tp ~ ~ ~”; it will not teleport you anywhere actually, because you didnt specify where, but the commands output will say “teleported to location X,” which will show your coordinates.
Question Is there another way to find my coordinates other than using the function keys? Community Answer You could download the toolbox app for Minecraft. This way, youll have the coordinates displayed on your screen while youre playing.
Question What if my screen doesnt show x y or z? Community Answer When you press the debug key it will show your x y and z coordinates. However, if you have a certain mod installed, the mod may affect your ability to view the x y and z coordinates. I would get some info on the mod/mods that affect your ability to view your coordinates.
Question Is there a way to get my coordinates in PE without downloading anything? HappySquare2 Community Answer Hopefully in the new update. But you cant now, because they havent added more codes.
Question Where are the function keys mentioned in this article? Community Answer On most keyboards, the function keys are located at the very top, labeled as F1, F2, F3, etc.
Question Whats the best option if F3 doesnt work on my computer? Community Answer You can try remapping the debug button (default F3) in the options menu under Controls. Remap it to something that isnt already mapped, but not too inconvenient to hunt for while playing.
Question How do I set coordinates in Minecraft? Community Answer You cannot set or change coordinates in Minecraft.
Question The coordinates on my PC dont show on the screen, why? Community Answer It doesnt work on Windows 10; instead, you have to use the command tp ~ ~ ~ to look.

Question Can I have a map in the PC version? Community Answer Yes there are maps, but they may not show your coordinates.
Why Would You Need Minecraft World Coordinates?
The world of Minecraft is vast. Technically, it is nearly infinitely vast (in Bedrock Edition at least,) as the world is randomly generated while the player travels through it. There is plenty of walking ground to be covered, but you can also dig beneath the ground and fly across the sky.
There are countless points of interest throughout the Minecraft world, including everything from the world spawn (where you spawn when you start for the first time,) and villages to mansions, ruined portals, desert temples, and more. One of the most useful things a player can do with coordinates in Minecraft is making notes of where these points of interest are.
Creating realistic objects in Minecraft is very popular and there are many impressive examples out there. These, however, would be impossible to plan and execute without correct coordinates in the Minecraft world. Let’s say that you want to build a huge pirate ship. The small-scale item is relatively easy to build; just count your cubes and build a house using commands, for instance.
However, projects such as a huge sailing ship will require planning, and without the coordinates, you’re going to have a tough time figuring it out. Luckily, they are available in Minecraft, but not by default. You’ll need to turn them on in order to see them.
Like any three-dimensional space, Minecraft has three coordinates, X, Y, and Z. With these three you can accurately pinpoint the exact location of any particular block or item in the Minecraft world. Here is what each of these three coordinates determines.
The X coordinate determines your East/West position on the map. If the value is positive, it means that the position in question is East of the central part of the map. The negative value determines a position in the West.
The Y coordinate determines your vertical position on the map. The more you move upwards, the more the positive value will increase. Alternatively, the more you go down towards bedrock, the value decreases. Sea is always Y=64.
The Z coordinate determines your South/North map position. As you shift your position to the South, the positive value will increase. Go North and the numbers will turn negative.
There are two types of coordinate positions: the absolute position and the relative position.
The absolute coordinate represents a specific location in Minecraft. If you see numbers 65, 239, 54, these coordinates refer to a specific location that’s 65 blocks to the East, 239 blocks above the sea level, and 54 blocks South of the central point of the map.
The relative coordinate represents the distance from a particular location in Minecraft. The format is written with a “~” (tilde symbol). If you see numbers like “~3, ~1, ~2,” this refers to a position that’s 3 blocks East, 1 block upward, and 2 blocks South of your current position.
There are different methods to finding out your current coordinates while playing Minecraft, depending on whether or not you are playing the Bedrock or Java edition.
