Playing Skyblock on the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft via special maps
Many of the best Minecraft Skyblock servers cannot be used, due to almost all of them exclusively supporting the Java Edition.
This is why, instead, players can install skyblock-themed maps, so they can play Skyblock on their local game. The steps to do so are as follows:
Step 1: The map must be downloaded first. A link to a popular Minecraft Skyblock map, that is compatible with Bedrock Edition, can be found here.

Step 3: Once installed, the map can simply be selected in single player mode and Skyblock can finally be enjoyed. To play with friends, a simple Minecraft Realms instance can be setup, as shown below.

Skyblock is a popular type of Minecraft survival map. It starts the player off on a small island in an endless sky, where they will have to use the limited resources that they have to survive, build, and thrive.
Mob Farm[]
Hostile mob farms are very important because they are a source of bones, strings, redstone dust, iron ingots, potatoes and carrots, among many other drops. Building a mob farm is mandatory to get the crops to start crop farming. It is also an abundant source of rotten flesh, which you can now eat instead of apples. Multiple mob farms designs are explained in the page Tutorials/Mob farm, however, the vast majority of efficient designs need water or redstone circuits.
If a spider spawns, killing it for string will allow you to craft a fishing rod, which can be used in the water from your cobblestone generator to obtain early-game fish as food.
This hostile mob farm design shown by ilmango uses the mob pathfinding mechanics to lure them into a drop shaft, without the need of water or redstone circuits (note that spiders cant spawn in this farm) :

You should also make a temporary passive mob farm to get animals: to do that, use cobblestone to bridge away from your island, and hope a passive mob spawns.
